David Guetta was forced to delay his Creamfields set after overcrowding led to fears of a crush last night.

The French DJ came on stage in the Cream tent just after 11pm with thousands of fans anticipating his hit songs ‘When Love Takes Over’, ‘I Gotta Feeling’ and ‘Sexy Bitch’.

But he was forced to stop after just 20 minutes after crowds had gathered in their hundreds outside the tent trying to get inside.

With security fearing a crush the police rushed in to put a stop to the gig before Guetta eventually re-emerged to play a full set to the delight of his many fans.

Cream also insisted this morning that reports of fans being sprayed with pepper spray and multiple injuries were incorrect.
