Purple Revolver are back on the hallowed turf of Creamfields once again watching the finishing touches being made to Daresbury site before all the revellers descend for bassline-driven madness.

00.19 – Straight from the main stage to the press tent, Purple Revolver caught up with the man of the moment, David Guetta.
After an emotional set, where the flamboyant Frenchman thanked revellers for another amazing Creamfields experience, we asked him what makes this Nortern dance festival so unique.
“Creamfields is so special to me because it gave me my first invitation to play at an international dance festival.
“Last year, I played the Cream tent and they had to close it because it was over-crowded. This year they put me on the main stage and still it was so busy, it really made me emotional.”
23.04 – David Guetta proved exactly why his celebrity has reached astronomical levels with an amazing performance, delighting the ears and eyes alike.
A combination of chart and old school dance anthems, mixed with awe-inspiring LED displays, had the crowd in a frenzy for the entire hour and a half set.
Guetta gave us a look into the future with stilt walking LED robots, smoke machines and an outstanding pyrotechnic display which proved why the French DJ belongs on the Creamfields main stage.
Creamfields founder James Barton was given a special birthday treat as Guetta invited him into the DJ box to a round of raucous applause from the crowd.
21.33 – Deadmau5 took the Creamfields crowd from day to night with a spectacular light show but below par performance.
The laid back beats were just a little too mellow for the hyped up crowd, which was super charged in anticipation of David Guetta’s must-see set.
19.55 – Eddie Halliwell has just been in the Calm Tent talking about his impending ED-IT show on the mainstage and says: “DJ’ing is evolving so much these days. Just being able to play music will not be enough in two or three years time.”
Commenting on David Guetta’s astronomical chart success Eddie said: “His pop stuff is in a different area. He has been quite canny in the way he has crossed over, he has done an amazing job keeping his clubbing integrity while breaking into the mainstream charts.”
16.47 – Purple Revolver just caught up with electro artist Uffie.
The diminutive vocalist has recently been working with Pharell Williams in LA on her new single “UDD SUV” and lauded The Neptunes star as “the most well rounded, creative producer out there.”
Image conscious Uffie said that fashion and spectacle play a major role in her live set saying “I think you have to be aware of the current trends but remain individual. It all adds to the visual aesthetics of the show.”
At just 22, Uffie has come a long way from the humble beginnings of her Myspace page, which launched her to global stardom.
But the Miami-born star, who has a baby daughter, Henrietta, has her family to thank for keeping her grounded.
“When I’m home, I’m just a mom and I change diapers. It’s good to come back to my family and I miss them when I tour – but festivals are no place for babies!”

15.48 – BBC Radio One DJ Vernon Kay has been spotted mingling with festival goers as he waits to start his show live from Creamfields.
The cheeky Bolton lad grabbed two unsuspecting girls for an impromptu interview… as they tried to have a sneaky toilet break in bushes near to the festival entrance!
The 36-year-old has been tweeting excitedly about Creamfields on the train journey up from London.
He said: “Creamfields!! Let’s do it…I wanna see hands in the air!
“Going through the Eric Prydz back catalog in prep for our interview this afternoon! MASSIVE,HUGE TUNES.”
Maybe Purple Revolver will bump into him for a quick chat!
15.27 – Rumours circulating from Calvin Harris’ Twitter indicate that the superstar producer is to play his last set with his live band on Sunday.
Harris tweeted on Friday morning: “DJing at LED Festival later then Lush in Portrush on Saturday then Creamfields on Sunday for last ever gig with band!”
He reportedly wants to focus his time fully on DJing.
