Bonkers star Dizzee Rascal has confessed he loves watching Eastenders with a cuppa and has a secret desire for a starring role on Albert Square.

When the rapper has a break from his gruelling tour schedule – the first thing he does is catch up on his fave soap.

The hit-maker’s music has appeared in films Adulthood and The 40 Year-Old Virgin, but he loves it the most when he hears his tunes playing in the cafe and Queen Vic.

Dizzee, 23, who plays Creamfields on August, 30, said breaking into acting would be a natural step for him and he would love to make his debut in Eastenders.

He told us: “Eastenders means a lot to me, because I’m from the East end innit.

‘Enders is standard, I watch whenever I can fit it in.

“It’s best when I hear my music in the cafe, that gives me a buzz.

“I’ve thought about acting a couple of times and it would be something I want to break into soon.

“It would be a natural progression to go into acting. It’s another creative thing to do.

“I’m so embedded in my album and getting people to feel it, there’s so much positive energy that’s going into this project right now.

“But, I could see myself on Eastenders one day. They just need to offer me a role and I’m there.”

Dizzee Rascal headlines the Main Stage on Sunday 30th August at Creamfields festival, Daresbury, Cheshire.
