Dizzee Rascal, who hails from the tough East End borough of Bow, is working on string arrangements for his music after agreeing to be backed by an orchestra at the BBC Electric Proms.
The Bonkers rapper, 24, will be backed by a live band and the 16-piece string section when he takes to the stage at the London Roundhouse, London, on October, 21.
Diz is one of the first names to be announced for the musical extravaganza along with Motown soul hero Smokey Robinson, 69, and everyone’s favourite bearded-band Doves.
Tickets go on sale at 8am on September, 16. Visit bbc.co.uk/electricproms to register for tickets.
