Kid Rock, David Guetta and Black Eyed Peas play Maltese festival

Kid Rock was left stranded in the middle of the Mediterranean when his sunseeker boat managed to get lost en route to the Blue Lagoon.

Fortunately the 39-year-old had a few crates of beer, along with 10 Maltese beauties to keep him company until rescue arrived and he was able to perform at the Isle of MTV Festival, Malta.

Kelis kicked off celebrations on the island with disco anthems from new album Flesh Tone before mixing things up with remix of her signature tune Milkshake.

David Guetta and Black Eyed Peas also played the festival alongside Kid, who rocked the crowds with a cover of Led Zeppelin’s hit Rock and Roll and fan favourite Sweet Home Alabama.

After the show, Kid Rock revealed he had been encouraged to make the journey by Black Eyed Peas. Kid said “They told me the crowd get really fired up- they weren’t wrong.”
