We all know the pain that writers must to suffer to get their big break, whether it be crazy fans, broken bones or writers block the life of a writer can be difficult.

So Vision+Media are easing that misery and giving 10 established writers and 16 emerging writers the chance to take part part in a brand new, eight month training and development initiative cleverly entitled, DRAFTED.

Both, new and established scribes will have access to development support for their feature projects along with a series of themed masterclasses run by industry professionals.

Running from September 2010 to May 2011 the course will equip participants with the skills, confidence, contacts and support they need to write screenplays for commercially successful feature films.

Getting down to the nitty gritty; Established writers require a minimum of two writing credits in film, radio, television or theatre to apply. These credits should be for work that has actually been produced.

If you’re an emerging talent submit a ten page writing sample and a CV that demonstrates how you have been actively pursuing a career as a writer in either: film, radio, television or theatre.

Midday on Monday 12th July 2010 is the deadline for submissions, so get your quill out and get on it.
