Legendary Guns & Roses guitarist Slash is to be presented the Hard Rock Ambassador of Rock Award at Friday’s O2 Silver Clef Awards in London.
Saul Hudson became notorious for his big haired rock & roll persona and his epic, mountain top guitar solos between 1985 and 1996 when he was a member of one of the biggest rock bands ever alongside Axl Rose and co.
Fittingly the award will be presented by fellow guitarist and close friend, Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones.
The awards are held annually to raise money for Nordoff Robbins and will be hosted by Sharon Osbourne this year for the 35th ceremony.
Milkshake singer Kelis will also be honoured at the ceremony receiving the Raymond Weil International Award.
