A trailer for the new documentary charting Joaquin Phoenix’s reputed meltdown has been released online.
The film captures the “lost year” in the life of the Walk the Line actor, as he quit Hollywood to try his hand at rapping.
Many critics have written off the integrity of the new film, labelling it the practical joke of an extremely talented method-actor.
Directed by his brother-in-law Casey Affleck, I’m Still Here follows the Jaoquin during his “creative reinvention†and will hit the screens in the US September 10th.
Phoenix infamously presented his new guise to the world on the Late Show with David Letterman in 2009 sporting a matted over-grown beard, he was bizarrely mulish and unresponsive in the interview which left critics and fans dumbfounded.
