Swedish electropop band Miike Snow donned white masks and delighted crowds at a packed Liverpool Masque last night performing their breakthrough album and hit single Silvia.
Miike Snow is one of this year’s biggest emerging acts, comprised of Swedish duo Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg and American songwriter Andrew Wyatt, their unique pop-electro sound has catapulted the band into the consciousness of cool.
The trio who have produced for Madonna, Mark Ronson and Britney Spears, scooped the Grammy for Best Dance Recording for Britney’s Toxic are now artistes in their own right.
2009 has seen the band release their eponymous self titled debut album featuring the critically acclaimed tracks Animal and Black & Blue.
The band, usually famous for their remixing skills, played songs from their 2009 debut album Miike Snow.
The band are currently on their first UK tour.
