Trunks is the new EP from indie three piece Slopes, a burgeoning Liverpool band battling to be recognised in the city’s thriving music scene.

Band members Richie Jones, Justin Connor and Chrisy Jones show promise on this EP and with a bit of manoeuvring and refinement they look set to go far.

Their sound is an amalgam of punchy guitar riffs and catchy pop hooks, generic but pleasant indie noise.

The standout track on the disc has to be Come Round If You Want To, which opens with the energy of an early Cribs recording and possesses some truly catchy, memorable melodies.

Other tracks on the EP include Glue, It’s so Easy (To Mess Up) and Stumbling Block, all of which offer more of the same and are worth a listen or two.
