Bristol record label Hospitality are in town this Saturday and they are no strangers to Liverpool, the label has been destroying Chibuku on a regular basis, with Welsh wizard High Contrast at the epicentre.

The man known as Lincoln Barret to border control and his mother has had a seismic impact upon drum n bass. Managing to showcase the rougher edges of the genre just as readily as the soulful touches, his stunning reworks of Eric Prydz’s Pjanoo and the acid house classic Papua New Guinea by Future Sound of London represent his epic and glorious take upon the music.

He’s joined by the indomitable Andy C, a man who constantly continues to stay at the top of his musical power and bring the full force to depth defying levels. Nu:Tone bring a soulful edge to proceedings while rising stars Netsky, Nutone and Chibuku’s own soulful DnB doyen Paul McGuire round off the room.

In The Loft, Hospitality are adding two shades to the musical make-up for the evening. Sonic songstress Katy B, who is already commanding the airwaves as well as clubs all over the UK, headlines. Having already worked with the likes of Magnetic Man, Benga and Ms Dynamite, her debut single Katy on a Mission is smashing it everywhere as she takes the dubstep and garage scenes by storm.

The funk is helmed here by old school legends Shy FX, whose genre dexterity over the years has seen them drop rough and rugged jungle as well as chart topping smashes that play on American TV show themes. Joining him will be crossover experts Nero.

And then over to Ink, where new local heads Abandon Silence are in control. A local blog http://abandonsilence.blogspot.com which has evolved into a music collective hosting some of the city’s hottest venues.

Here the joy de vivre of next level dubstep headlines, Ramadanman. His sound is an often gritty and deeply intricate interpretation of the Croydon wobble, musing the genre’s past flirtations with bass and dubbed out soundscapes into a funky and warm sound which retains the music’s raw charm. Horza, Kidheader, Grandav finalise proceedings.
