Fronted by Myles Kennedy of recent Slash fame, the explosive Alter Bridge have announced that they will be returning to tour the UK in October as they set up to release their third studio album.

Following the triumph of 2008’s Blackbird album and coinciding tour, the band consisting of Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Philips have not been simply resting on their success.

Most notably Mr. Kennedy has been lending his rock-ripping vocals to two iconic tracks on the debut self-titled solo project from the Top-Hatted Tower-Of-Rock that is Slash.

Kennedy will also be attributing his expansive blues-rock vocal stylings to Slash’s live line-up in the rock legend’s tour this summer.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, Tremonti, Marshall and Philips have against everyone’s predictions, reunited with former band mate Scott Stapp to reform and tour the USA with their previous band Creed.

In addition to their solo-projects, Alter Bridge have also been busy as hell writing new material for their forthcoming album and getting themselves prepped for the tour.

When considering the UK tour, vocalist Kennedy exclaimed:

“We can’t wait to get back and share the new songs with our friends in the UK. It’s going to be a great run!”

Full listings for the tour are set below. Stay tuned for details of Alter Bridge’s upcoming album.
