Former Razorlight man Andy Burrows debuts his new project I Am Arrows this week with a free download, an Acoustic appearance at Rough Trade and a residency at Old Blue Last to follow.

Already a multi-million selling artist, talented multi-instrumentalist Burrows plays, well, everything on this latest offering and so far…it seems to be working out nicely.

Nun (a download available now) allows a sneak audio peak at the material and offers a refreshing summery cocktail of pop, indie, a dash of Beck and garnish of MGMT. It’s a jacket over the shoulder and pilot shades strut down the street kind of track.

If that’s not enough, the album also attributes the production of a certain Eliot James (Noah And The Whale / Bloc Party), complementing the style of the material wonderfully.

As I Am Arrows hit the stage, the project’s live performances will see the acclaimed songwriter working in a group that boasts the musical talents of not one, but two sets of brothers.

The complete line-up wil include Burrows (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Adam Chetwood (guitar), Nick Hill (guitar), Ben Burrows (bass) and Adam Chetwood (drums).

The new album and debut single are set for release in July this year.
